Get Rid of Fleas Rapidly: Effective Solutions for Flea Control

Spring Fleas are thriving outside and in your home. Whilst Spring can still see colder days and temperatures, your indoor heating creates the perfect environment for fleas to survive and reproduce, which means getting rid of them rapidly is important.

Whilst Spring weather in the UK may not freeze flea eggs and kill them outdoors, fleas will still seek a warm and dry refuge where they can continue their lifecycle. Flea eggs can develop into larvae in just a matter of a few days, nesting on the surface of the host’s skin, feeding until they can then jump and move onto other nesting grounds around your house. Follow up treatments for pets may be necessary due to fleas becoming resistant to insecticides, which means cleaning and vacuuming is important even 10 days after the first treatment, to kill all fleas and remaining larvae.

Where to Find Fleas?

  • In areas where pets sleep
  • On your animals
  • Bedding
  • In carpets
  • Furniture that is upholstered
  • On humans in rare cases.

Signs of a Flea Infestation

  • Red, irritated skin or bites on humans or pets
  • Small black specks (flea dirt) on bed sheets or carpets
  • Small insects jumping on furniture or carpets
  • Pets continuously licking, biting, or scratching

How to Prevent Fleas

  • Use veterinarian-approved flea treatments to protect pets from bringing fleas into your home or business
